Hotel Milano

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel Milano, its quite charming. However not the most luxurious, the AC was a bit noisy and the bed a bit too soft, but for the price I think it's quite good. They have a lovely terrace, they do offer a great selection of wines and the staff is very nice and friendly.

Good for a weekend if you 're OK with the shortcomings The location of the hotel is excellent, it is literally on the lake. If you book a room with a small balcony you'll get an amazing view. The staff was friendly and polite, no problems there. There are free parking spaces around but on high season there is a high chance you won't find a parking space for your car. It was nice to have a pizza at the balcony with the view of the lake. It is clear that the hotel hasn't been renovated since it was first built. In the 70s or 80s this hotel was probably one of the best around, but unfortunately the time passes and businesses should be renovated. Everything, from the equipment to the room decoration belongs to another era. The most notable problems I saw were the following: 1. The lift is old like the rest of the building, so I didn't trust it. 2. In our room, the mechanism that holds the belt for shutting/opening the blinds was about to go off the wall 3. The 2 plastic chairs at the balcony were both broken (see photos)

This hotel is starting to feel very old. No warm shower, bed and pillow are very hard. It seems that the owner just forgot to renew and improve it while the price are still expensive. I know the location is good and price are expensive around, but this is just taking advantage of the situation. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel, more a clean 1/2 stars one, on the expensive side of things.
