Hotel Milano Regency

We had a great stay. The man in the front desk was very nice and he could keep our luggage during our day of checking out. The hotel is old and charming but therefore also a bit noisy. It’s close to public transportation.

Overall, for the price, not a bad hotel coupled with location. Pros: Location is convenient to walk to the MiCo for conferences during the day, then takes the tram to explore at night. The staff was very friendly, and overall, the room was cleaned each day with fresh towels. Quiet and seemingly safe neighborhood. Cons: The walls were fairly thin, and the odd style of toilet flush style meant you could hear your neighbors turn the water on for the toilets, and it was so loud that it routinely woke me up at night... And I'm a deep sleeper. Additionally, the WiFi is terrible. Barely connects, and when it does, if you're doing anything with Zoom - you will be kicked off multiple times. I would not suggest planning on getting anything needing wifi done at the hotel. Because it is a rather quiet area, there isn't much open later near by, but plenty of options along the street cars, or by walking 15 minutes.

This is not a four-star hotel. If you are coming from the states, do not be fooled by the air-conditioning clause. I understand that the EU is not primarily focused on air-conditioning. However, this property boasts each room has the thermostat. I promise you, my bra did not even dry overnight. It's sort of clean, but an old property. The front desk volunteered to keep my bag safe because they wouldn't check me in early. This consisted of a randomly locked closet that was made available to me along with everybody else's luggage when I needed to get mine back. Luckily, I had no desire to take other people's. I arrived at 8:30 in the morning which is well before check-in. After being awake for almost 24 hours, I asked at 10:30 if I could pay to check in early. That was welcomed immediately and I wish it was offered to me at 8:30. There is no active bar here. It's a storage unit. There is no air-conditioning in the main areas nor really in the rooms. There's no complementary water. The front desk was very nice and extremely helpful when I needed a car. The beds are simple but I actually found them to be very comfortable. The room had plenty of space as well. I won't book this again, but it is charming. If you're used to the heat and ok with simplicity, you'll be fine.
