Having taken a junior suite we were not disappointed.A huge room with large windows looking out towards the mountains..A very comfortable bed and a wonderful bathroom with a separate toilet. The reception was polite and efficient and there was a beautiful balcony off the luxurious reception area to sit out on.The only disappointment was the bar area. While the terrace had the incredible scenic views, the hours were limited and it lacked ambience and chic. The buffet breakfast was on tbe lower floor and was ample with a wide variety of offerings.
This hotel has some real highs and unfortunately some low lows. It is quite vexing as this place has potential. The view of the valley from the south side of the hotel is magnificent. It’s the hotel’s best feature. It really is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant balcony and many of the upper floor rooms take advantage of this great view. We booked the standard room which is on the bottom floor and each standard room has one tiny window. I don’t understand why they would install these windows (maybe 12”x18”) in the standard rooms when you have that incredible view. All the rooms in the hotel face south toward the valley and every room could have an incredible view. It felt like punishment for not shelling out more for an upstairs room. Why do that? It makes no sense. The upstairs rooms had nice balconies. Let that be the difference. The bar upstairs is nice and sitting outside on the large balcony was amazing. But then for some reason the bartender can’t speak a word of English and doesn’t know how to make any drinks. Zero. He wanted no part of it. There were no cocktails on the menu and he declined any instruction despite having what looked like a full bar of liquors. Missed opportunity IMO and disappointing. The food was also hit and miss. I thought the front desk staff was professional especially when they politely listened as I complained about not getting a napkin with my order of wings (they must steam or boil the wings cuz there was no crispiness) The room was still ok despite the lack of sunlight. The bed and shower were ok. All in all, could have been a special stay but left with mixed feelings.
I truly regret having to leave a negative review because this hotel has a lot of potential. The property is beautiful, and our check-in experience was very welcoming. However, unfortunately, our checkout was so disappointing that it overshadowed our entire stay. We encountered two major issues during our one-night visit. First, the shower only had cold water, making it impossible for us to take a shower. In a four-star hotel, this is simply unacceptable, as hot water is a basic expectation. Second, we had reserved a high chair for our baby, but upon arrival at breakfast, we were told that there was only one available, and it was already in use. As a result, we couldn’t properly enjoy breakfast since we had to hold our baby the entire time. The way these concerns were handled at checkout was truly disappointing. When we mentioned the cold water issue, the staff member simply said that the shower was working now— which was irrelevant since we were already leaving. Regarding the high chair, they claimed to have no knowledge of our request. There was no real apology or effort to make up for the inconvenience, leaving us with the impression that our concerns didn’t really matter. Based on how our complaints were dealt with, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, despite its beauty. Customer service is a crucial part of the experience, and unfortunately, it fell short. Additionally, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families— having only one high chair for an entire hotel is simply not acceptable.
