This hotel was a great find for our trip to Florence. The price was very reasonable, especially considering it included breakfast and parking, two things that can be quite expensive in the city. While the breakfast wasn't a huge spread, it was enough to get us started for the day. The parking was a huge plus, as it meant we didn't have to worry about finding a spot for our car. And the fact that our dogs could stay for free was an amazing bonus! Another great thing about this hotel was its location. It was close to both the tram and bus lines, which made it easy to get around the city. We were able to explore all the major sights without having to worry about driving or parking. The room was clean and comfortable, and the cleaning lady was absolutely lovely. She was always friendly and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this hotel is a great option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay in Florence. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient trip.
Decent accommodation, clean, bathroom a bit tiny with a bidet installed where there is practically no space for it. The bathroom had no space or hooks or racks to hang towels, change of clothes or place toiletries. The location is good in terms of access to public transport and restaurants. It is by no means a four -star hotel as claimed. It is at best a 2.5-star or 3-star place. Lastly, sadly, Europe has changed in the name of climate change lunacy. In the 7 hotels we stayed in, in Switzerland and Italy, none had irons or ironing boards any more, and none had coffee makers. They had kettles and instant coffee sachets, an insult to the great coffee-drinking tradition of both these countries.
Unacceptable experience – not worthy of 4 stars I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating. The rooms had black mold — somewhat expected due to the location’s humidity, but completely unacceptable in terms of cleanliness and overall upkeep. Most shockingly, the toilet was clearly used and had not been cleaned after the previous guest. There was also a persistent, unpleasant smell lingering in every room we entered, making the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. If I could, I would give 0 stars for hygiene. We were offered the option to switch rooms if one was severely problematic, but at these prices, we should never have been in that position to begin with. On top of that, some people we knew actually found someone else’s underwear in their room — a clear sign that housekeeping is either rushed or careless. It raised serious concerns about overall hygiene and attention to detail. The most concerning part was the lack of security — during the night, strange men were walking past the balconies and waving at us. We genuinely didn’t feel safe and were constantly worried that someone might try to enter the room or steal our belongings. To make matters worse, the hotel demanded a deposit of 20 euros per person — quite a high amount considering the poor conditions. It felt like a bad joke. On a more positive note, the staff did speak English at a fairly decent level — especially compared to the average in Italy — which made communication easier. But honestly, what good is that when you’re faced with all these other setbacks? Overall, this was a disappointing and stressful experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a true 4-star stay.
