Good value for price. Kind and polite personnel, huge and well equipped room. Pro: pool and wellness availability at other hotels, nice beach, night programmes and daily programmes almost every day. Contra: beside we were ordering drinks for dinner, we could not get a glass of tap water, as they serve only mineral water. All in all we liked it much.

Definitely not my understanding of 4*. No complimentary water, no coffee making facilities, pathetic thin towels. Only toiletries was a mixed hand wash/shampoo. Shower head didn't fit well in holder & went everywhere. Room is basic, poor view. Small safe not big enough for e.g. tablet. Not permitted to use fridge except to buy extortionately priced items. Average breakfast. If you want to use pool either take your own towel or pay €4 and if you want sauna its €15. WiFi worked OK. I'd say the worst 4* I've been in anywhere around the world.

I would describe it in a way - that yes, technically it's a 4* hotel, but there are lot of bits and pieces that give you the feeling they are being cheap on you a degrade the overall experience. Few examples of stuff that should not happen in my opinion in 4* wellness hotel - arrived at 4:30pm so not late at all only to find the hotel closed with a phone number, on which I was advised to check in via different (connected) hotel. Request to open the parking so I can at least park before going to this other hotel was denied. - after some food runs out during dinner or breakfast - it is not always restocked. Especially weird when you are allocated second seating for dinner. - the choice of sides for dinner consisted of fried potatoes all three days - extra charge for bathrobes rental (which were really old and uncomfortable) and no kids bathrobes available - no bar open in the hotel or the neighbouring hotel (did not venture further down the maze, maybe somewhere some bar was open - however there was no point in reading the booklet on the room - as it stated that even bar in our hotel should have been open which it never was) - no explanation how the entry to wellness area worked. Into the SeaSpa it was enough for all four of us to enter with one card (so we decided not to carry all cards with us) - into the Therme everyone needed their own card even kids. Ok, weird but acceptable, but it meant another 7 minutes track back to the room and back to wellness - both sea spa and therme left mixed feelings - plenty of the attractions like water throwers, bubblers, etc did not work or worked on weird schedule. There was really not much to do for kids (but I understand - it is spa, not aquapark). On the other hand - they were huge, not so crowded, water was great and salty, and it was nice having two wellness options. On the good side though the staff was mostly nice and effective, the room was okayish for a few nights stay (very clean, bit smaller for 2+2, bathroom could have had nicer tiles and larger showers but those were details), view for our balcony none, bit of noise from outside (some aircon or ventilation from neighbouring hotel), food was decent for 3 nights but a bit repetitive, especially breakfasts. We had lovely autumn vacation in Portorož and nearby, we might come back to the area, but will probably try different hotel.
