Hotel Misión Grand Casa Colorada

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel is well kept and sits on the site of former presidential palace of Guanajuato. The views are mesmerizing, and your room will overlook the entire city. Also the grounds are gorgeous and well kept. It’s well located with a 3 min walk to the pipila stature and the finnicular which offers very easy access to to downtown. We loved it and will be back.

An outstanding place! Very romantic and fun. Wonderful view in the night time. The service was fantastic and so was the food. As an Italian, the caprese salad was perfect! They nailed it! Would love to come back on the day time for lunch

The hotel is located in one of the best places in town. It is at the top of a big hill so you have great views of the entire city. The rooms are large and the sheets and bedding clean. The rooms are a bit outdated and although I like the old feel and charm/character, the fixtures were very loose and almost felt like I would break them. They had only one room left but offered us 2 extra beds so our group of 5 could stay (thank you). There is a private walkway down to the main city streets, but you have to have staff open the gate for you and they do not open it to go back up. The walk from the downtown area is about 30 mins (all uphill). The staff are so accommodating and go above and beyond to help. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Cabs take a while to come up the hill, but there is free parking if you bring your own car. They did not have AC when we arrived but stated the hotel is working on fixing on the AC and adding more rooms. The water pressure in the showers is great!
