Hotel Moderno

Nice hotel, I had a generous room, very clean, comfortable bed (although a little on the soft side). Nice hot shower, didn’t hear the people next door, fast internet and lovely staff. Restaurant was very good, excellent breakfast. The only thing missing for me was a kettle in the room (they only have a coffee machine, which wasn’t cutting it for me). 20 minute walk to the station which worked for me location wise.

Be warned, no kettle or tea/coffee, no vending machine to get refreshments, one bedside table for a double room, lack of sockets for charging unless you are prepared to crawl on your knees under a table. But, excellent breakfast & staff sorted food when we found the restaurant was shut easter Monday.

My experience at Hotel Moderno. At first glance, it's a pleasant hotel, but during a longer stay, the details start to matter. Every day you have to ask if music can be played in the breakfast room. A smile and a greeting from the staff when you enter the breakfast room would be so much nicer than being asked for only your room number. The bathroom sink in my room has no stopper, and the heated towel rack condenses so much that a puddle of water forms. If you need Wi-Fi, be sure to ask for a room with a strong signal. During my stay it wasn't a stable connection. The first time I wanted to use the gym, all the machines were turned off and couldn't be fixed until the next day. The airconditioning has a hard time to get the temperature in the room below 27 degrees even when the outside temperature is 21 degrees. The hotel has a beautiful sauna area. Don't forget to request your temperature while booking the sauna or you have to deal with a 100 degrees Celsius. What the hotel excels at is its massage service. The space is pleasant, and the masseuse is excellent. There is plenty of parking available at no extra cost.
