Hotel Monceau Wagram

The rooms are very large compared to other hotel rooms we encountered in Paris. the hotel provided many toiletries normally not provided in chain hotels, AC which was critical during the heatwave, comfy mattress and pillows (not those oversized bumpy pillows). Very safe neighborhood, walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and many nice churches, cafes and restaurants everywhere. Everything was lovely, the only item is that I wish the courtyard would have been open to all guests instead of just the two bottom rooms, even though there was an entrance in the hallway. Would have been lovely to have wine and cheese out there. Otherwise, very, very nice. We will stay again.

Gets the job done, and that’s about it… AC worked great thankfully but on a couple days of our 5 day stay there was a horrible stench in the room. Service was mediocre at best.

This Hotel is an ABSOLUTE DUMP. THE ONLY HOTEL WE HAVE EVER ARRIVED AND REFUSED TO STAY AT. Ignore all other reviews DO NOT STAY HERE. The room and service are ZERO STAR. The hotel looks NOTHING like the photos on the hotel’s website. It’s a dump, and the rooms smell like a cleaning closet. Do not let them take your credit card until you’ve seen your room. Here are some photos of the “Junior Suite” The below response is inaccurate, we were offered a single room and a 30% discount from our total bill. We were shown two rooms to choose from; both small and one that had a really bad odor. Neither were acceptable but they insisted on not refunding the charge that they took 20 minutes prior, even with empty rooms in the hotel. They were clearly more interested in keeping our money. We have never had this happen before and it was very sad be exposed to such a disingenuous business. NEVER EVER BOOK THIS PLACE. There are plenty of perfectly acceptable alternatives within walking distance that are legitimate.
