Hotel Mont Vallon Meribel

I’ve recently stayed at this hotel for a week and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well equipped with all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, close to main lifts and slopes. The food at the restaurant was delicious, featuring local specialties that perfectly complemented the alpine atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this hotel is an ideal choice. I can’t wait to return!

I feel quite compelled to leave a review after reading some negative reviews before flying out. We stayed four nights here, slept like a baby every night. The hotel is expensive, yes - but skiing is expensive! We had a wonderful view of the mountain from our room. The rooms are dated and could do with refurbishment, but to be honest if you’re out skiing all day it’s not a big deal. The lobby is beautiful with a rustic and Christmas feel. Bed was comfortable and room cleaned daily. Ski locker included. The pool is nice and sauna very good. Location is 10/10; ski in/out and located right in the middle of the 3 Valleys. Can ski down to main Meribel in 10 minutes or a free shuttle runs until midnight. The staff are lovely and attentive. Enjoyed breakfast each morning with a large spread of pastries, bread and savoury options. Thanks so much Mont Vallon!

We were quite disappointed in our 4 night stay. We had paid more to stay here to have a mountain view room - but were told when arrived that “mountain view” here means “basic” room, which is very misleading. Staff were great accommodating this and after first night did change our room to one that could see mountains for the other 3 nights. However, that new room had a broken heater that came on/off randomly to 25 degrees so we weren’t able to sleep our second night. Staff sent someone to fix it, but it wasn’t fixed and they sent technician again who finally did get it fixed for our last 2 nights. Don’t get half board. We had very uncooked chicken at the restaurant. Staff didn’t address it and the unsafe food concerns forced us to eat at other restaurants despite having prepaid for this one for last two nights. We are patient and understanding people but these concerns (and others) were all raised with staff, who assured us they would contact us to arrange compensation to address the lost night and refund for meals. It’s been a week and they haven’t reached out or responded to our several attempts to resolve. Summary: Location is great, but you will definitely enjoy your vacation much more at one of the many other options.
