Hotel Montarto

The reception team is the best. Abel, Irene, Carla, Diego, Maria are great. The bell boy is cool and the show cooking Alvaro always doing good tortillas for me. I hope we all come soon.

Let’s give this hotel the appropriate star rating, please! 2 star maybe 3 star hotel at best. The rooms were so small you could hardly open the door. It was like they took a standard size room and chopped it in half during their last ikea remodel. The bathroom was crammed into a tiny closet and the shower was open to the vanity and rest of the rooms. Two small single beds instead of a king or queen that barely had room to walk on either side. The staff was all very aloof. Best difficult to get any service at any of the bars. I was under the impression the hot tub was available for use. It’s reservation only and 23euros per person. Crammed with 12 other people for a warm chlorinated pool? No thank you. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast and location.

We were told we could check in between 3pm and 4pm. At 3:40 pm another employee said our room was not ready. At the same time we were told we could make spa reservations at 3pm. The same “no” colleague said reservations weren’t possible on sundays. When I told him his colleague had told me something different he got pissed with me and said now he was saying different. Great start to our trip. I will say this place has been very well remodeled and the restaurant was great. Too bad staff doesn’t have a a level of customer service that matches.
