Super beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Rome, with beautiful rooms and a super nice rooftop to enjoy breakfast or a drink! Excellent service by every single person in the staff, super kind, friendly, helpful and attentive people! And last but not least, the amazing manager, Mr Paolo was THE BEST HOST one could ever ask for! Attentive, kind and caring since the moment we booked, and a true gentleman!!! TOP TOP TOP! P. S. His culinary suggestions are not to be missed!! In all, excellent hotel, excellent people, excellent service in all ways possible!!!!
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Monte Cenci. It's well located, the manager Paolo Mazzara was very kind and helpful with restaurant suggestions (all very good) and the room was quiet. Our second room (when we returned) was a little nicer than the first, both small but this is normal in Roma. Overall a very good value. The rooftop bar/breakfast room is a pleasant refuge and the breakfast quite nice.
When we booked our room for a six day stay we had done our research and were happy that the location was so quiet and that the small supermarket right across the street had everything we needed . Ideal location for walking and sightseeing. The breakfasts were excellent, the room clean and the staff very helpful. We have stayed in small niche, hotels, and B&Bs through the decades in Europe and in the United States so were surprised how modestly sized the room was that we were given. Nonetheless, an excellent stay.
