Wonderful elegant and special boutique hotel with a lot of atmosphere! Special well picked vintage and colonial decoration and furniture and even an indoor pool and sauna right in the middle of Paris. Very friendly welcome at the reception- thank you so much again to Hadrien for upgrading us to the beautiful Mercedes Suite which we really enjoyed. Large bathroom with bathtub and Nuxe luxury toiletries and a separate toilet room. Very comfortable bed with nice and soft bedsheets, which I find really important to get a healthy good night’s sleep. They have a superb bar lounge and specialise on all different kind of Rum. A lot of lovely restaurants and bars around and nice and quiet surroundings. Check out is as late as 12.00 and helps you to enjoy the place as much and long as you can! Even staying only for one night, it feels like a holiday and a little trip into another world. We will definitely come back! Merci
My 9-yr old daughter and I loved this hotel. Room was clean, quiet and well appointed, bed and sheets were quite comfortable and the black-out curtains are pretty much the best thing ever (I am planning to get some as soon as we get home). She loved swimming in the pool every night after all that walking. Surounding neighborhood is very nice and full of cafes, boulangeries and shops and I'm so glad we had time to explore them. Bus 47 was a life-saver that took us to many of the places we were going to and then back, but there are other buses and metro stops nearby, as well as the RER to Charles de Gaulle & Gare du Nord. We will definitely stay here again next time our travels bring us to Paris!
Hotel Monte Carlo in Paris has some nice qualities, but overall I felt it didn’t live up to the price point. Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The location is definitely a plus—very close to a metro line and easy access to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and even Disneyland Paris. The room itself was small (which is expected in Paris), but well-decorated and clean. The bathroom setup was strange—the shower and sink were on one side of the room, while the toilet was in a separate, unconnected space. A bit inconvenient. The TV is another issue: it’s advertised as a smart TV, but all smart features are disabled, so you can’t stream anything from your phone. There was a small welcome chocolate and pastry, which was a nice touch, but the in-room cocktail—an “earthy Negroni” priced at €21—was undrinkable. If I could go back in time, I’d avoid it entirely. On the bright side, the bed and linens were comfortable, and the provided toiletries were quite nice. In the end, while there are some thoughtful details and the location is great, the overall experience didn’t match the cost. I expected more for what we paid.
