Hotel Monteleone New Orleans

Highly recommended! It is possibly one of the best I have ever stayed at. I received a warm welcome from all the staff, who could not have been friendlier. The room was superb. The building had many original architectural features, making it interesting to walk around. There were many informative panels. One of them revealed that Truman Capote was born there. We also used the hotel bar, which had the famous carousel counter. The food in the first-floor restaurant was great. The shrimp, crab, and avocado salad was superb. Considering the quality of the food, the prices are fairly reasonable. Don't forget to enjoy the beautiful rooftop pool. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.

Great service!! The staff here is amazing. The location of this hotel makes a stay in the French Quarter extremely convenient. You can park in the garage and never need it for your whole stay. The carousel bar is always packed so plan on going early if you want a drink. Rooms are clean and quiet. Will stay here again!!

We had such a great start to our stay at Hotel Monteleone. As soon as we arrived around 9 AM (well before check-in time), we were greeted warmly by Thomas at the door. I mentioned we were planning to store our bags until later, and he encouraged us to check with the front desk—"You never know, your room might be ready!" Sure enough, we were lucky! Marie (or Maria) at the front desk was absolutely lovely—so welcoming, kind, and genuinely happy to help. She made us feel like valued guests from the moment we stepped in. Where we’re from, this kind of hospitality is rare, and it truly set the tone for our entire stay. Huge thank you to the team for making our arrival feel so smooth and special!
