It baffles me why this incredible hotel is only 4.1. I have stayed at hotels and places all over the world and I’ve got to tell you that this hotel far surpasses any place that I’ve ever stayed. The owner/operator, the front desk staff, housekeeping, kitchen and wait staff were all beyond excellent. I was traveling with my parents who have never been overseas. This hotel made all of us feel like we were at home. I have never been treated as well as I (and we were) was here. This hotel is perfectly located to the beachfront, shops, great food and so much more. The front desk staff were all so so helpful in all that we asked. From places to eat, places to shop to help navigating transit, to just anything, absolutely top shelf service. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our experience in Salerno so wonderful. You are the very very BEST.

Spotlessly clean, excellent location superb breakfast. Spacious well decorated room - slight quibble is that the double glazing doesn't seem to keep the noise from the street out. Only really a problem if you want an early night on a Saturday though. Staff at reception couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended.

Things I Wish I Knew Before Booking: 1. The central AC didn’t work – something I couldn’t have known when booking online. 2. A portable AC unit (“penguin”) was provided in the room, but it requires keeping the window wide open to function. 3. Street noise starts around 5 AM, making it difficult to sleep in. If the noise doesn’t wake you, the mosquitoes that fly in through the open window likely will. 4. The portable unit drains into a makeshift trash bin, which overflowed onto the floor, soaking my luggage and shoes and damaging the hardwood floors. 5. Opening the window risks tearing the drapes, which aren’t designed to move independently. 6. I genuinely dislike leaving negative reviews, so I gave 4 stars—though the experience fell short of that. That said, the location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk to the port and 6 minutes from the train station.
