Hotel Monumento Pazo do Castro

This is a hidden gem. We called in whilst touring down to Jerez, what a find. If you like things quieter this is the place to go. The staff were amazing, didn't speak much English but bent over backwards to help and explain. The food was all very good. Would definitely return and recommend.

This is a beautiful place to stay, full of original historic elements. Most of the rooms lead off from delightful halls full of antiques. Don't expect a card to open the door, you'll receive a lovely, huge iron key. Rooms are nicely furnished in the same style as the rest of the hotel and have WiFi access and TV. A peaceful place to stay, only the birds singing in the morning might wake you up. I do think the breakfast buffet could be improved, not really many interesting options. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely gardens and it has a sofa which I haven't tried.

A superb place to taste galician cuisine. We had pulpo a la gallego (octopus) and bacalao. It was very fresh and tasty. Ee had also a local galician wine that was very good. The card of wines could have been better since they had only one type of white wine which is sad since the region has a lot to offer.
