We stayed at Mulino Hotel in Bagno a Ripoli for 4 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The location by the Arno River is simply stunning, with breathtaking and peaceful views. The hotel is spotless, and the rooms are prepared with great attention to detail. All the staff — from the reception to the restaurant team — are polite, friendly, and very helpful. On our first night, when the high humidity brought mosquitoes, the lady at reception immediately offered mosquito repellent, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Breakfast pastries were delicious, but the dinner menu truly stood out; every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor thanks to the chef’s touch. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace, great food, and warm hospitality by the Arno River.
We were looking for something rustic and Tuscan-like, and this place was perfect! From our room we had a view of the river with the falls. And then for breakfast we had the option to eat outside on the beautiful patio overlooking the river. The location was idyllic if you are looking for a hotel that is outside of the city center noise and has more of a Tuscany country-side feel to it. And they also offer a shuttle to and from the city center, so you don't have to worry about parking. In addition, the service was great - especially if you happen to leave your suitcase behind. :) They had it shipped back to us in two days.
This hotel is stunning - quintessential Italy. It is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. My husband and I really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The spaghetti was amazing! We lounged by the pool and enjoyed the scenery! It it a bit of a hike from town, so we ended up paying for taxis more than we expected. But I would stay again and plan our activities more effectively. We were there mid May, and the rooms were a bit stuffy, so my husband asked to turn it down some. All in all, gorgeous hotel my favorite of the trip!
