Hotel MX portal maya

Hotel with a great location, right near Quinta Allegria mall and Constitution. Plenty of places to eat nearby. We liked the balcony, we were right on top of Scotiabank overlooking Quinta Allegria mall. Wifi was good, important for us as we had some work to do. Staff very nice. Lots of pluses for this hotel, but on the downside..pool is small, seemed not the cleanest, the sound in this hotel echos like crazy guests should be more considerate.. obviously at 11pm midnight 1am if you are walking in the halls have a brain and be quiet 🤫 . The shower has an odour, so we kept the bathroom door closed with the fan running and very little pressure from shower nozzle.

Noisy. It is located at a busy intersection. Hallways are an echo chamber. Restaurant next door plays loud music. Pool is small. Showers are cold, and water pressure is low. The safe in the room was broken. My room was clean, but the TV had no instructions.

First off, this hotel is nothing close to a 4 stars as advertised but I would not even give 3. The worst thing we ever experienced is the toilet/bathroom. It’s HORRIBLY smelling as sewage, dark and humid. I avoided using it and preferred using restrooms at restaurants. The water is salty and smelly and we washed our teeth with bottled water. The shower nozzle is spraying water all over and it is impossible to have a good rinse. The bed sheets had red spots The service is not present at all. The young lady (not the curly one, the other one) at the reception doesn’t speak English and got rude when I could not understand some of her Spanish. There is no elevator, no fridge, no hairdryer (not even available at the reception) Please don’t come here,it’s a scam
