This hotel seemed like a great price for how close it is to Narita airport. They offer a shuttle to and from the airport which is convenient for a traveler without a vehicle. Check in went fairly smoothly and it was nice to see a Family Mart in the hotel lobby, so we could buy some snacks after our late night arrival. The room was small, but functional. All features were easily accessible and my wife and I could move around easily. The bed was against a wall but could be moved out slightly allowing me to not sleep pressed against it. The AC in the room was set at 15°C but was not cooling very much. Playing with the controls could change the fan but nothing else. The room remained warm and humid. There was a sign in the bathroom to shower with the door closed. The fan in the shower didn't actually do anything, so after showering the room was full of steam for about an hour. The bathroom door was also lower than I expected and I hit my head stepping out of the room. I am 6'2" tall.
We stayed here for a night, ready for the early flight next day. Location is great, shuttle bus is comfortable and timely (as typical Japanese standards). The room is big, bed was comfortable but it’s quite tired and lack of maintenance. The garden on the ground floor is pretty but the pool is completely out of water. We had a dinner in their Japanese restaurant, which was very nice, food was plentiful and delicious! For 2 people, it was cheaper than the capsules, good value!
The hotel's location is excellent, being very close to the airport, and the pool is a definite plus. However, there are a few areas that need attention. The cleanliness did not meet expectations for the price point, as illustrated in the attached photo of the bathroom door. Additionally, the air conditioning was locked at 25 degrees Celsius, which made the room uncomfortably warm for five people, causing us to wake up several times during the night. Finally, upon arrival at check-in, a deceased person was transported through the lobby in a body bag, directly in front of the check-in queue. This seemed inappropriate, and a more discreet route should have been used. To finish, the provision of skincare products, toothbrushes, and combs is appreciated.
