Hotel Mystays Sapporo Nakajima Park

Location is OK. Good because it's relatively close to a station. Bad in the sense that it there is not much close to it. For more, you should probably stay closer to the city centre. Surrounding area is nice and quiet, easy to drive in. Only thing is that it gets quiet at night (not that late even, 8-10pm). Maybe this is a problem only if you're a city dweller. There was also a weird guy standing outside the hotel staring at us from the side glass of the large first floor as we entered the elevator which was quite creepy and made us extra sure lock the doors and latch for the extent of our stay. Service was good. People say that they are not as friendly as other japanese hotels. I do not disagree necessarily, but they were helpful in answering my queries and when asking for amenities, etc and were not rude or anything. Hence I leave it at a 4. Room was large (especially since the price isn't too high!) and well heated. Maybe a bit too over heated but you can always turn of the heater if you'd like, although more fine control would be good. The reason I am knocking off points is because the toilet is way too small. We stayed in a triple bedder. The toilet was barely big enough to stand in after taking a shower (if you do not wish to stand in the bath tub). If you are the type of person who brushes their teeth in the shower, washes their face in the shower, this isn't a problem. But for those of us used to doing everything at the sink there is nowhere near enough room for that.

It’s a business hotel. My room type is standard double room. Room is reasonably big enough to open one’s luggage without feeling cramped. Shower room is tiny but clean. Only allowed one person to stand. It’s supposed to be 9 minutes walk from nakajima station according to google maps but felt like more than 20 minutes. I think it is due to snow on the road. I stayed here because of winter storm so that the train to my destination was cancelled. The last minute reservation turned out this hotel was reasonably priced on booking.

AVOID! 巨伏 ！ 1. This has been the worst stay of hotel ever in my life. Rm 509 2. The smell of washroom was like permanent. Furano JR station’s washroom was cleaner than this. 3. I cannot sleep until very very tired ( 3,4am) due to the heating . 4. The ventilation in the washroom was very questionable ( not sure if still working ) 5. The air purifier has some mysterious substances inside the humidifier. And the plug was fixed so that I couldn’t clean it. 6. We came back the hotel quite late otherwise I will definitely ask for another room .
