The location of this place is excellent. It manages to maintain a quiet atmosphere despite being in a busy area. It's not far from the Civic Square and the adjacent pedestrian street, yet the rooms are very quiet. The room isn't large, but I really like the hair dryer here. Usually, the hair dryers in hotels don't have much power, but this one is great. There is a small issue though. There's always a smell of paint wafting into my room. I'm not sure if it's from a new installation or fresh paint somewhere. If you're traveling with kids, it might be a good idea to check with the front desk. Since I'm only staying for two days, I didn't dwell on it too much and didn't ask to change rooms. That's about it. Looking forward to the next time.

The hotel is situated in a part of the city which is choc-a-bloc with both shopping and eating outlets. It is also across from a pedestrianised area which turned into a vibrant area on Friday as families and young couples came out to take part in the Christmas festivities. The rooms are nice but have some quirks such as no drinking water in the room but has to be fetched from a water cooler. There was teaching and coffee but no milk and sugar, and no spoons to stir either. The bathrooms have some basic amenities like shampoo and a basic toiletries kit but spending from 2025, those have to be purchased as new government regulations on conservation kick in. The breakfast was really good, especially the variety of dumplings on offer for breakfast.

Staying there due to a 2-night business trip. The room really shows the history, but still comfy enough. It is quite nice that some floors have free sparkling water dispensers.
