Hotel Navarra Brugge

This was our second time in Bruges and our second time staying at the Hotel Navarra. This should tell you all you need to know. However, the hotel is wonderful. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the rooms are impeccable. Also, if you stay here, make sure to include the breakfast as the options are plentiful and of the highest quality. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who Is going to visit Bruges.

My wife and I visited in June and had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, clean, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The garden and pool were great amenities as well. The hotel is only about a five minute walk to the city center, and close to many restaurants and sites.

The hotel is located just a few minutes’ walk from the main square (Markt), making it an ideal base to explore the historic center. The building itself is beautiful—elegant, clean, and full of character, with a rich history that adds to the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. That said, there was one downside: the bed. We booked a double room expecting a proper double bed, but instead, we had two single mattresses pushed together. While this seems to be fairly common in some European hotels, it did take away from the comfort and intimacy of the bed. The gap in the middle made it difficult to sleep comfortably as a couple, and the individual mattresses shifted a bit during the night. For a hotel of this quality, I would have expected a true double mattress or at least a better solution. Despite that, the rest of our stay was excellent. If the bedding arrangement were improved, I’d easily rate it five stars.
