This was our first time staying at Hotel New Awaji, and we were truly impressed by the experience. We would especially like to express our heartfelt gratitude to two staff members—Ms. 幸子(Sachiko )and Ms. アイ冫(Ain) —who assisted us during our in-room dining. They were incredibly warm, attentive, and considerate. As we do not speak Japanese, both of them went the extra mile by using mobile translation tools to help us understand each dish and how to enjoy it properly. Throughout the entire service, they remained patient and cheerful, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our wonderful experience at Hotel New Awaji truly began with their exceptional service. Their professionalism and heartfelt hospitality left a lasting impression and deserve to be specially recognized. In addition, the meals were delicious, the hot springs were relaxing, and the scenery was beautiful—everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return in the future and will wholeheartedly recommend Hotel New Awaji to our friends.
Exceptional Service and Memorable Stay This hotel offers fantastic service, a superb in-room dining experience, and a variety of onsen to explore and enjoy. While access can be a bit challenging, there’s a convenient highway-express bus that connects directly from Kobe-Sannomiya, making it manageable even without a car. Room I stayed in a villa-style room, which was incredibly spacious for a family of four. The room featured multiple TVs (though you likely won’t use all of them) and a smart TV with streaming and Wi-Fi capabilities. After enjoying the onsen and a delightful dinner, relaxing in the room was effortless. One of the standout features was the private onsen bath in the room—large enough for two people to enjoy comfortably. Being situated seaside, the villa offered breathtaking views, and watching the sunrise was truly spectacular. Facilities Though my stay was brief (just one night), I made the most of the onsen facilities. The rooftop onsen was under renovation, but the other three onsens were spacious and excellent. Each had two separate areas for male and female guests, which alternated access depending on the time of day, allowing guests to enjoy different views and unique bathing experiences. Food Both dinner (Kaiseki-style) and breakfast were served in the room, and the dining experience was a highlight of the stay. Dinner was flawless—presentation, portion sizes, and the variety of dishes were all impeccable. It was worth every penny, and I would easily rate it 100/100. Breakfast, while simpler, was still delicious and complemented the overall experience beautifully. Access The hotel is accessible by car or bus. Despite not driving, I found it convenient to use the express bus from Kobe-Sannomiya, which drops you off right in front of the hotel and picks you up the following morning for the return trip. However, local amenities within walking distance are quite limited. If you plan to explore Awaji Island or stay for more than a night, I highly recommend renting a car. For a one-night stay, though, the arrangements worked perfectly for me.
A wonderful hotel where all rooms have ocean views and you can enjoy the sunrise from the open-air bath!
