Hotel New House

First of all don’t expect this to be a 4 🌟 hotel. This is your budget hotel if you compare with UK hotels. I didn’t expect much, all I wanted a decent place to sleep after all day exploring the beautiful monuments in Istanbul. Me, my wife & toddler had a room with 1 double and 1 single bed. We had a kettle in the room with tea bags coffees and sugar cubes. There was a small fridge in the room as well & few bottles of water. Bathroom was clean and they did provide clean towels. We didn’t use the TV in the room. The room was cleaned every day. The receptionist were friendly but they speak bare minimum English. I had to use google translator once or twice. TURHAN the night receptionist was very friendly guy who booked our taxi to the airport as well. The mattress was decent as well and you can go in and out whenever you want. They have a small lift where only two people can squeezed in to go all the 3 floors above. The tram stop called Cemberlitas is 20secs walk from the hotel. Very good location to be honest. Specially all the convenience shops near by as well. It can be a bit loud when you’re trying to sleep at mid night because of this hotels location as people are talking loudly and doing their business outside. Overall I don’t have any complaints. I didn’t pay for morning breakfast as I was excited to have mine outside. So can’t comment on those.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. The rooms were in complete disarray, dirty, and poorly maintained. On top of that, the staff were dishonest and even tried to trick us out of our money. We decided to leave early because of how awful the experience was, but they refused to refund us. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone was a complete nightmare

Worst hotel ever. Anyone thinking about booking here please take sincere advice from a stranger, we had two little kids one of which dropped a tiny amount of coffee on the bedding and we were told to get out of the hotel In the most rudest ways. They tried to say sorry after realising they might get bad reviews, however this is not even the start, book this hotel if you want your money stolen, as my dad and sister 'lost' nearly 1 thousand pounds after money went missing from 2 rooms in 2 different places. The cleaner uneccassarily cleaned the room over 3 times In our 5 days stay. Horrible hotel wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy!
