Beach was unusable since it had waves that were crashing in the walls, POOL was super nice, Staff was amazing, Breakfast was good, and rooms were clean and nice. The only bad thing about this hotel was, Poor menu. And Lunch/Dinner was very bad quality Overall 4/5

Should've checked the reviews before booking… From the outside, Hotel New York Vlora looks quite promising – the building appears modern and well-maintained. Unfortunately, that impression quickly faded once we stepped inside. The interior felt old and somewhat sketchy, with outdated furniture and an overall worn-down atmosphere. A renovation is definitely overdue. The receptionist didn’t make things any better – she looked very moody and unwelcoming. We took the elevator upstairs, and as soon as we stepped into the hallway, it felt like the setting for a horror movie. Dim lighting, creaky floors, and a general sense of neglect. When we opened the door to our room, things went from bad to worse. The beds were old, there was visible mold, and hair everywhere. The door handle was broken, and at first, the shower didn’t even work. When it finally did, it was very cold and flooded the shower, turning it into what felt like a small swimming pool. Speaking of swimming pools – the actual pool looked nice at first glance, but it was disappointingly dirty, just like the beach nearby. Both could really use some regular cleaning. Sleep was uncomfortable; I woke up with neck and back pain due to the poor quality of the beds. The only pleasant surprise during our stay was the breakfast – the food was actually quite good, contrary to what some reviews had mentioned. However, just when we thought the worst was behind us, we walked out to find our car covered in sticky sap from the tree we parked under. Now we’re heading straight to the car wash. The owner might want to reconsider those trees. All in all, this stay was far from pleasant. This hotel really doesn’t deserve the 4 stars, I’ve seen many hotels with 4 stars and they were amazing! It’s a real shame because the location and exterior have potential. Thanks for the breakfast, I guess?

The worst experience we had in Albania and probably ever in a hotel defined as 4-star. Neglected infrastructure, service below all criticism, poor breakfast, and a pool of an outdated guesthouse. Not worth the price. Better to choose a 3-star hotel that's cheaper and much better.
