Very nice, very comfortable. A larger than average size room, bed was firm, and there were lots of nice pillows in different styles. The night views of the city are amazing. Decor and furnishings are tasteful and in good condition.
Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower is a standard business hotel — it feels more like a 3-star property rather than a 4-star. The room was clean and functional, but nothing particularly stood out. The daily breakfast was repetitive with limited variety, so don’t expect much if you’re staying for more than a night or two. One convenient point is the covered walkway that connects directly to Oita Station, making it easy to get around even in bad weather. There are also plenty of eateries along the way, which is a big plus. Overall, it’s a decent option for a short business stay, but not especially memorable.
An old hotel, and even though they maintained it well, you can feel the old fixtures and vibes. The room itself is quite spacious. Breakfast was good, many variety. But the menus were 98% the same for 3 nights that I stayed. Service is standard. There are shopping streets within walking distance, and train station and shopping mall within around 15 mins walk. An okay hotel, I guess.
