The hotel is middle area and located nearby with attraction area. My room view really nice because can see the view for the bridge.
Nice rooms, clean and large. Support staff could speak manageable English to help with selection of vegetarian food. The serving staff for buffet on first night of stay could not understand my definition of vegetarian which is quite different from Chinese definition but he was quite helpful to take me to kitchen and point out on items OK for me. Based on what I pointed at, the chef prepared vegetable fried rice for me and that was the best food I had in 5 days stay in China.
Hotel Nikko in Japan is representative of fantastic service. Unfortunately not in Nikko Wuxi (and Suzhou). And the breakfast is disappointing. Most would assume that a Japanese hotel brand caters to Japanese guests (locals and other nationals too). And an aspect that Japanese guests would be quite particular on is food, especially breakfast. At Nikko Wuxi, the rice (at the Japanese section) is half decent (definitely not short grained rice), and the miso soup is too thin and lacks dashi.
