Overall this is a pretty great hotel. The rooms are on the smaller side, and the bathrooms are pretty cramped, but this is generally on par with other hotels in Tokyo at the same price range. Service and cleanliness were both excellent. The location is in a quieter area of Tokyo, but you are still decently close to the train station so accessibility to the rest of the city is good. On a side note, the massage chairs they had on the 3rd floor were surprisingly good and very refreshing after a long day of walking.

Extremely beautiful hotel inside and out with a touch of Japanese garden design and architecture. The rooms are smaller than hotel rooms in other parts of the world, but for Tokyo, it was a very good size. Everything is very nice, new and clean. The rooms are cleaned everyday and new set of towels and bathroom accessories are provided. (Something that may not happen in most of the hotels in Japan) The staff are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. They even let us check in earlier than 3pm, which was a super nice gesture especially after a 15-hour trip. The restaurant, the lounge and the rooftop are incredible. The nearby metro and train station connects the hotel easily to any place in Tokyo. We had a great experience in Hotel Niwa and we would very much recommend it to anyone who travels to Tokyo.

If you’re looking for a comfy, peaceful spot in Tokyo, Niwa Hotel is a solid choice. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. While the rooms are on the smaller side — typical for Tokyo — the space feels cozy and well-appointed. One of the best perks? Free massage chairs in the relax room. After a long day of exploring, they were a great way to unwind. The beautiful gardens provide a touch of tranquility, and the rooftop offers a nice view of the Tokyo skyline — perfect for some quiet moments. The location is great, too — set in a quieter area, but still close to restaurants and a transport options. It’s a perfect balance of convenience and calm. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay in Tokyo
