Hotel No 16

Indeed the afternoon tea was lovely. The clotted cream was so good that we asked for a second helping! There were four pieces of sandwiches per person and each sandwich came with a different type of bread. They were all very good. Then there were the sweets. My favourite was the meringue tart. I could have another! The hotel itself is very discreet. Located amongst the residential area of onslow gardens, we could have easily missed it if it were not for its name - number sixteen, as it was house number sixteen. Loved the decor as it exuded an understated and calming vibe. Staff was helpful and patient. We asked to be moved from the garden to the inside and they cheerfully obliged. Highly recommend.

My husband and I only had one night here, but it was a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this hotel. The room was beautiful, and the complimentary breakfast was 5-stars. The staff also was phenomenal.

Great location in a peaceful community area very close to South Kensington tube station, museums and Kensington park. The hotel is very nicely decorated and makes you feel home straight away. The very small garden and breakfast/dinner terrace is a little jewel of serenity in the art of London. The staff is extremely nice and particularly the ladies cleaning and preparing bedrooms for the night. I would recommended to adjust the breakfast system as it can be very slow when you order “à la carte” and as a lot of guest order breakfast in the bedroom. It is a bit a waste of time when you want to get going early to visit London.
