⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best hotel check-ins I’ve ever experienced — and I travel a lot! A huge shoutout to Graciella at the reception: warm, welcoming, and with a smile that genuinely made my day. She’s a true hotelier and set the tone for a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, in an excellent location with a stunning view. Everything was clean, comfortable, and up to the standard you’d expect from a hotel of this rating. For those concerned about negative reviews — especially about cleanliness — let me say this: I’m OCD when it comes to hygiene, and I would not be leaving this review if the hotel wasn’t spotless. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I mean I reached and found them moping the floor Excellent concierge skills Graciella she shared with me a list of restaurants without even having to ask handed me over the map and explained to me every single area ( a true tour guide ) Thank you to the team which I decided to call SMILE team — and especially Graciella — for making me smile in Amsterdam. I’ll definitely be back! Talk about positive vibes
The cleanliness and staff attentiveness were excellent. We arrived before the check-in time, and the lady at the reception kindly offered to help if there was a vacant room. Since there wasn’t one available, she said we could leave our luggage and that it would be placed in our room by the time we returned. When we got back, our luggage was indeed in the room along with some small treats. We chose this hotel for a one-day trip to Amsterdam and didn’t regret it. Cleanliness was very important for us, and our room was great in that regard. The sheets smelled fresh and were sparkling white. Despite being right next to the canal, there were no signs of mold or insects in the room. It’s close to public transport, and about a 20–25 minute walk to the city center. We paid around 4000 TL for a double room, including everything. The only issue we had with the hotel was regarding the city tax. The app we used for booking (Hotels) stated that we would be charged a total of €7.70 for two people. However, when we arrived, the hotel told us the city tax was actually €10.40. When we pointed out the difference, they said that the current rate is different. Since the rest of the hotel experience was great, we didn’t mind too much. Just make sure to double-check the price stated in the app!
We recently stayed at Hotel Notting Hill for three nights during Amsterdam Pride, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is modern and elegant, with a touch of classic art deco charm that gives it real character. It’s well located—just about a 15-minute walk from the main shopping streets, yet far enough from the crowds to feel peaceful. We arrived before check-in and were greeted warmly by the reception staff, who were friendly and happy to store our bags for us so we could start exploring the city right away. A nice touch that set the tone for a welcoming stay. We booked the Loft Room, which was impressively spacious and well-appointed. It featured a comfortable bed with soft duck feather pillows, an espresso machine, and a mini fridge (though the fridge wasn’t particularly cold). The walk-in shower suite was a highlight—modern, clean, and stylish. The only real downside of the room was the lack of windows—there was only a skylight, so no view or natural light coming in from the sides, which was a bit of a shame. One point that could be improved: during our entire stay, our room was not serviced. We were returning from Pride events in the early morning and sleeping in until around 10:30 or 11am. We made sure to switch on the “please clean room” light before leaving for the afternoon, but when we returned around 4pm, the room had still not been cleaned—even though housekeeping trolleys were in the hallway. This was a little disappointing for a hotel of this standard. That said, the free pastries in reception, and the breakfast and bar area, made for a lovely place to unwind. It’s a well-run, stylish hotel with a relaxed vibe and a very ideal location for both exploring and relaxing. Would definitely consider staying again, though hopefully with more consistent housekeeping service next time.
