Stayed here en route from the Netherlands to Cherbourg ferry to Ireland. As an Accor member I had points accrued which made it even better value as I got €40 off the room rate, a free drink on arrival and we had a nice room. Staff were helpful and friendly and we could safely store our e-bikes in a meeting room area. We had a lovely dinner in the bright dining room overlooking the swimming pool terrace.
Decided to upgrade from usual Ibis stay en route from the Alps. And wow super impressed. Lovely festive reception. Huge room massive bed. Tea and coffee available. Only things missing - milk to go with coffee and BBC or Sky News on tv.
This comes across as a transit hotel for coach parties. We rejected the first two rooms because of the disgusting state of the carpets and the third had a carpet that was heavily worn but less stained. When they replace the carpets and tidy the walls then it should be closer to the brand standard. As our final hotel at the end of our European tour this was a very big disappointment. Our room was on the first floor and with no lift was very difficult for my wife to climb the stairs with her recovering from a broken ankle.
