Hotel Nuevo Boston

I stayed here for a days relaxation rather than deal with the heat in Madrid. The pool was lovely to chill at and as it was a weekend then the hotel was relatively quiet. We got picked up at the airport within 15 minutes and booked for the transfer back. The breakfast was lovely with eggs and bacon, plus a full continental. The hotel was one of the nicest we have stayed in recently and it felt really new throughout. Would recommend it to anyone!

Excellent, value-4-money hotel The airport/hotel shuttle was great! My ground-floor room faced the main road, but there was no noise (probably due to double/triple glazing) very welcome after 31 hours' travel. My dinner was very good, as was the price of my one-night stay. I was in the shuttle Q early next morning - chatting with a woman in Andalucian hospitality who'd been using Nuevo Boston for 40 years - great testimony to this hotel and it's services!

When we arrived we asked the receptionist to book four people (my wife and I, + 2 teens) for the 8am airport shuttle. We were informed that their were only 2 seats available, so we requested 4 seats for the 7am shuttle. My wife, who is a Spaniard and was speaking in Spanish, verified three times that we had four seats reserved. When we arrived at the front desk at 6:50 a.m., I was told they only had two seats available on the shuttle but a taxi was available. We asked the morning clerk what he would do to make it right and he said he wouldn't do anything, since he didn't take the reservation. So, their mistake cost us a 19 Euro taxi ride to the airport. This was an unfortunate end to what was otherwise a good experience. The bartenders and soccorista were friendly. The breakfast was very good. Still, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. If I can't trust the word of people working the front desk, I can't trust the hotel.
