Hotel Oasi Castiglione

This was paradise on earth for us - truly the best part of our Italy trip. We left the grounds only once during our 4-night stay - to do a load of laundry and stock up on water. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the 2 restaurants for lunch and dinner. Also the snack bar had a great menu of juices, sandwiches, ice cream, etc all reasonably priced. 5-star service - wonderful friendly staff who are always helpful. Impeccable service at the restaurants, front desk and reception, funicolare, guardaroba, and IXYA spa. Housekeeping staff also great. All the staff who keep the pools and common areas sparkling clean - thank you! I appreciated the requirement to wear swim caps. Be prepared for lots of stairs as the resort is built into the hillside. But makes for stunning views wherever you are on the grounds. Some areas could use a little elbow grease or a facelift. But everything functioned correctly and was clean. Garden beds and flowers well maintained. Loved our room. Furniture was a little dated but in good condition and I loved the vintage feel. Beds and linens could use an upgrade. Would definitely stay again. Also even if you don’t stay in the hotel they offer day passes to the pools.

This place is not a Hotel, We made a mistake by assuming that we will receive standard 4 star Hotel service. What you get is a Room in the Thermal park, Nothing More. The room is spotless clean which is only positive point. other than that there is no tea and Coffee facilities in the room, there is no room service, a small empty minibar is also in the room with a warning that it should not be over used ! If you wake up at 7 and want to have a coffee it is not possible in this Hotel!, the restaurant opens at 8 with a very poor breakfast and then there is a bar that opens at 10. same is in the afternoon when the park working hours finish. So if you want a bottle of water again not possible unless you are a thoughtful person and have purchased it before hand from the bar when they are open. there are also endless stares to reach any place in this "Hotel" .

AVOID this hotel if you think this hotel is a real four star hotel because it’s NOT. Attached you can see the picture of my stained bed sheet which I discovered the first night, there isn’t any coffee machine or kettle or basically anything in the room, this is not a 4 star hotel, this is a simple room with absolutely no facilities in it inside the thermal park which is so overrated. There are two restaurants inside the park which you must pay a fortune to eat in and the hotel’s breakfast is a joke for 15 euros, do not waste your money at this non hotel, I must thank the park’s doctor to take care of me and call and ambulance for me when I was unwell.
