The wonderful people at this hotel are angels. from the start to the end of our holiday they are all working extremely hard with smiles to help anyone have a nice holiday. the food is exceptional with a wide variety of fresh flavours. in particular the vegetable lasagne and cheese pizza was very tasty. thw fruit is very fresh and the children have a good selection on things to do in the hall of entertainment. The pools are very clean and the rooms that are made up daily are very fresh with little soaps and towels freshly given. family at its best.
Beautiful rooms. Clean, fresh, modern en-suites, good air-con. The staff are so friendly and attentive. They all deserve medals. Excellent service. The guests however are a tricky lot. A bit rowdy. Small swimming pools and small diner, ment that it felt a little stressful at times. If you like a quiet, relaxing trip, this might not be for you. Avoid Karaoke nights. Calella town is a tourist trap, so best to go out-of-season. If you're very social, and want to make friends with people from the uk that are there for sun, sand, and cheap booze, go for it. Food- mainly uk food, but alot of options. Not much spanish or catalan. But great if you're kids are picky eaters, im sure. Lots of fresh fruit and croissants. Two coffee options. One good, one not so good. Nice little list of free activities to do in Calella. I recommend the Kayaking. Calella beach isnt the best. Its very packed. Not safe for small kids on rough days, but if the sea's calm, its fine. A bit of a treck from the hotel for those less abled. Elderly etc. I wish the hotel had a shuttle bus to the beach and old town. Our very social young kid had a total blast. Us parents, found it tricky to relax. If we go back, we'd go out of season.
This hotel is definitely not worth 4* The room we stayed in was run-down and dirty. While inspecting the room after the arrival we noticed our shower hadn't been cleaned (rocks and sand on the floor) as well as water leaking from the bathroom ceiling. The furniture was cheap and old (big hole in the cupboard and a broken balcony chair). We had big difficulties opening the door to our terrace. There was no AC as stated. The chlorine smell throughout the hotel and especially around the pools was unbearable. The food was mostly processed and very cheap quality. The water tasted like straight up chlorine. Besides that, there happened to be several inconsiderate guests. Since our room was on the first floor, we shared a terrace with the rest of the floor. The guests of the upper floors kept throwing trash, Mc Donald's toys, water and sand onto the terrace/ our balcony which caused it to be really dirty. Some of the guests kept talking loudly after 12:30am. Leaving our doors open wasn’t an option with the constant loud TikTok music from next door. The staff was pretty nice though.
