Hotel Obermaier

Our family of four booked a room here after staying downtown for a few nights in Munich. Wish we’d been here the whole time! Charming place and staff, incredible breakfast and easy to travel by metro or bus!

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Obermaier in Munich! My family and I stayed in the Junior Gallery Suite, which was so spacious and beautifully designed. Our kids especially loved staying upstairs and having their own space—it made the trip extra fun for them! The breakfast each morning was amazing, with a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious food that we all enjoyed. I especially loved that they used local ingredients. The scrambled eggs were so tasty! The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. When we had a flat tire, they kindly called our rental car company and helped us with the translation, which was such a relief. Overall, the hospitality, comfort, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again on our next visit to Munich!

We went with a larger group and got 3 rooms. One of the rooms had bed bugs. This is an indication of badly cleaned rooms. Clean rooms get checked after every guest. This bed had bugs between the wall and the mattress. We reported this and a 10% discount was offered and refund of the parking ticket. Seriously? We all have to clean every single thing in order to prevent spread to our houses. Otherwise all things considered, the bar was nice, breakfast was good to, and the rooms were nice looking and modern. Could have been a great stay, but the bedbugs ruined the whole experience for me.
