Hotel Oleana

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Oleana in Bergen and will definitely be returning on our next visit. From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally professional and welcoming. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay — the selection was not just good, it was truly outstanding. I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, whose passion for his work really came through in the quality of the food. I also met Lena, who was overseeing the breakfast service. She did an excellent job keeping the team organized and ensuring both the indoor and outdoor dining areas were immaculate. Our room was comfortable and well-kept, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to explore all the main attractions Bergen has to offer. Overall, an excellent experience highly recommended.

Really incredible breakfast buffet with lots of fresh and delicious things from sausages to salads. Clean and well-cared-for rooms, very nice showers. Quiet rooms even on the street-facing side. Very nice people. Thomas and Mia (I think that’s her name, the front desk person) were so helpful!

- The room was unbearably hot - The A/C didn't work at all (which felt ridiculous to have to even use when you need a sweater and jacket outside) - You can't even open a window, really making the room feel like a prison cell - The beds are like half a meter wide, making every movement precarious and adding to the prison feel - Room, lobby and hotel felt small and cramped overall Hotel switched our rooms after we complained about the heat, but that was already one (almost) sleepless night too much. 3 stars for the nice service and mediocre breakfast
