Hotel Ombak Sunset

Great location of the hotel ! Beautiful large private beach and near turtle point. The hotel was really nice, the room was modern and spacious with all commodities, the outdoor bathroom was nice as well. The pool was large and nice. The staff was really lovely and helpful. The breakfast was various but nothing special (industrial food, opened jams, etc). The dinner with the barbecue on the beach was really good even though it was simple. We rented a bike to tour the island and the service was great.

We stayed in one of the villas and really enjoyed our time at Hotel Ombak Sunset. The room was spacious and clean, with indoor bathrooms and small thoughtful touches like flowers on the bed. The pool was a highlight – large, clean and perfect for relaxing in the afternoon heat. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety, but you sometimes had to go inside and find the person in charge of the egg station if no one was there. Still, it was nice to have fresh eggs made to order. The hotel also offers convenient extras like bike rental and massage, which we used and appreciated. The sunset views from the beachfront are absolutely stunning and definitely a big reason to stay here. Evenings on the beach with horses walking along the shore added to the magical atmosphere. All in all, a beautiful and peaceful place to stay on Gili Trawangan – just be a little patient during breakfast!

Beautiful Garden Setting and Relaxing Stay on Gili Trawangan. We spent a few lovely days at this spacious hotel on Gili Trawangan. We were especially impressed by the beautifully maintained garden – a true oasis of peace. The bungalows were clean, spacious, and equipped with a safe. The open-air bathroom was a real highlight and very nicely designed. A few small improvements could make the experience even better: the rooms were rather dark, and we missed having hooks in the bathroom for towels and swimwear. During rain, the floor became quite slippery – so a bit of caution is needed. The large pool was inviting, but a ladder or steps would be helpful, especially for older guests. The available sun umbrellas offered little shade, so it was better to avoid the midday sun. The hotel restaurant was often empty – probably because there are many good alternatives nearby. The restaurant staff was friendly but mostly trainees. With more experience, their service speed will surely improve. Overall, a relaxing stay with great potential – especially for guests who enjoy peace and a beautiful garden atmosphere.
