Hotel on Devonport

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel on Devonport! We had a marvellous one-night stay at Hotel on Devonport! We travelled to Tauranga from Auckland for a championship event, and since it ran late into the evening, we decided to stay overnight. From the moment I emailed the reception to request a quiet room, their response was prompt and friendly and allocated us a room on the 7th level. It turned out that Room 720 was tucked away in a corner of the floor, very quiet and spacious. Since we booked directly through their website, we not only got the best rate but were also offered free parking — a perfect win-win! When I enquired about cutlery and crockery for a midnight snack for my husband, they even sent me photos to make sure I had everything I needed. Such thoughtful service! I’ll definitely be staying there again next time. Highly recommended!

Great stay on the main road here in Tauranga. Something to note, the parking needed to be made separately from the hotel or it might fill up. Not a huge deal for me, since I went on Easter weekend so the parking was free, but it could be an issue on a different occasion. Rooms were very nice and mine came with a spa. It also had a pretty beautiful balcony which could be useful if you’re a smoker. I’m not saying the view was great, but it was nice just to sit out there for a little.

This was the second time we stayed there, when we booked the manager upgraded us, worst thing ever! The aircon unit diddnt work and the shower was not able to be regulated, not matter how hard you tried. Was told I would have a call form the manager still to this day no response hence this review. Make sure you check the room before allowing the company to charge your credit card as they do this 24hrs before staying. They offered a cooked breakfast for the inconvenience which was also wrong when delivered. Will never stay here again.
