The hotel's location is perfect, right next to Skanderbeg Square. The suite on the 12th floor is stylish and large, clean and tidy. The AC works well, breakfast is perfectly fine, and there's good parking behind the hotel. The service is friendly, so I'll most likely come here again.

It’s a nice hotel and the breakfast was very delicious but the day of the check in they sent a message in booking asking to pay by cash. It was not indicated that we can still pay by card and it was confusing us. So we had to prepare cash and to pay commission for getting it while it should be for hotel to absorb this commission. We asked a guy on reception about it but he seemed not assuming this. Except this this is a nice hotel

**Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend** We spent two nights at the Opera Hotel, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. I’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels, both within and outside of Albania, and this was by far one of the most underwhelming. **Staff and Service** The staff didn’t seem particularly welcoming or interested in guest interaction. Simple questions felt like an inconvenience to them. For example, when we asked whether water was included with the room, we were told that complimentary water is a 5-star hotel feature and that this is a 4-star hotel. I would think hotel staff would communicate with guests more professionally, but in fact it was the opposite in both communication style and body language. Their responses always gave a tone that was as if this 4-star hotel wasn't even a quality place to choose to stay in. And speaking of water, in all my travels—including within Albania—this is the first hotel I have stayed in that didn’t offer complimentary water. **Room Amenities** There were several disappointing oversights in the room itself: • No in-room safe: This was a major issue for us. Instead, there is a single safe behind the reception desk for all guests to use, which raises obvious concerns about security and privacy. • No coffee: Only tea was provided in our room. While that may seem minor, when you’re tired and in need of a pick-me-up, it makes a difference. • Rugs: The rugs felt less hygienic given the high turnover in hotel rooms. It didn’t instill a sense of cleanliness or comfort. **Luggage Assistance** There was no luggage service at all. We had to carry all of our bags to and from the room ourselves. For a hotel that presents itself as 4-star, this was a big letdown and not in line with the level of service one would expect by default. **Final Thoughts** The Opera Hotel misses the mark on many of the “small” things that actually matter a great deal when it comes to comfort and hospitality. From basic amenities to service quality, everything felt like it was just meeting the minimum, rather than aiming to make guests feel welcome and cared for. You feel like you are just a number, rather than a guest coming to visit. Ultimately, I would not recommend this hotel based on our stay. (I will also add, that at least from our room, there was no view since the Intercontinental Hotel is being built in front of the Opera Hotel.)
