The hotel is located 25 walking minutes from the palace of Schönbrunn. All the staff is friendly and attentive. Within the premises was clean and tidy. The bedroom was spacious enough for two people. Private parking is available - 20e / day. Breakfast - 17e as of today Price/value ratio: very good. Recommend it! To improve: The wifi-connection at the reception was poor.

Decent enough for the price. Nice rooms, pretty clean and modern, good breakfast and relatively cheap. Perhaps not the ideal choice for a vacation, but for a night or two, it does a very good job.

From the very first moment we entered the hotel, it didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel at all – more like barely a 2-star. B A R E L Y! We were first given a room where the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the room felt claustrophobic because it faced a wall of the neighboring building, and it was very small. We complained because the room clearly didn’t match the size shown in the photos, and they gave us a new one – for the same price – which was twice the size. Everything in the hotel and the room was done in the cheapest possible way – the curtains looked like plastic shower curtains. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on (and I stayed there for 12 nights); the mattress was sagging in multiple spots, extremely soft, and clearly worn out. When we complained, they told us, "Yes, that’s a common complaint – we’ll arrange a new one for you.” We got a new mattress without the dips, but still extremely soft and lacking any sort of ergonomic support. The pillows were as thin as fleece paper, and I’ve never seen cheaper or more uncomfortable ones. The first night, we asked for 4 to 6 extra pillows just to get a somewhat normal pillow height. Later, we ended up buying our own, as it made no sense to continue asking. Breakfast was a whole other experience – the staff were so unpleasant that even though breakfast is served until 11 AM, they stopped refilling items from 10 AM onward. So at 10, there was already no food left. When we asked for more, one woman responded with such visible anger that she made a scene in front of the entire restaurant, loudly saying it was *us* who asked for the refill – completely unnecessary. When I went to check what was refilled, she had added just two slices of salami – for the three of us at the table. That made no sense. In the end, she angrily threw a plate of bacon on our table (which none of us even asked for) and sarcastically asked, “Is this enough now?” A hotel where the mattress is uncomfortable, the pillow is uncomfortable, and breakfast comes with tension is not a hotel I could recommend to anyone. I believe the woman at breakfast wasn’t to blame for the lack of refills – it’s likely hotel policy to cut costs wherever possible. The internet was practically non-existent. When you did manage to connect, nothing would load, and most of the time, there was no signal at all. We had to pay for extra data in roaming, even though the reservation clearly stated that there was “high-speed internet” in the room. There was an electric kettle shown in the booking photos – none in the room. When we asked, they said *“You can request one, and we’ll bring it to you.”* So basically, everything shown in the booking photos is questionable – whether it actually exists or will be provided at all. The experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel to anyone – primarily because of the terrible mattress and pillows, and the extremely rude breakfast staff. Other staff were pleasant (the front desk and housekeeping ladies). However, the rooms were cleaned very late – around 5 PM, when you’re usually back in the room after work or sightseeing, so we often had to decline cleaning due to the timing. This is also a management issue, as they didn’t schedule cleaning more efficiently or hire more staff. Staying 12 days in a room with minimal cleaning access is a disaster, and you really don’t feel like you’re in a hotel – you end up doing everything yourself (not the cleaners’ fault, but a failure of management.)
