The Hotel Padoue is very beautiful. We were greeted by Filipina at the front desk, who checked us in and gave us a map of the things to see in the area. Our room was very clean and pretty.
Super friendly staff, they go out of their way to make recommendations whether related to the Sanctuary, or authentic food to eat, or taxi booking. Everything is just wonderful about them. The rooms are slightly old but clean and comfortable. Just what you need during a pilgrimage, no fancy frills. Breakfast was standard but good enough- a wide variety of croissants, yogurts, cereal, cheese, deli, fruit and even scrambled eggs and oatmeal.
The server was not polite at all when serving our food. He spilled the wine on my sister’s jacket at first and we already told him to be careful but he ignored us and said nothing, then he spilled paprika sauce on my sweater and pants. Very bad experience.
