Hotel Palacete de Alamos

The staff was so helpful, we had an activity after checkout and they let us store our bags at the hotel, they gave great info about the area. The location is amazing, the amenities in the room were fantastic, I had the breakfast last morning and it was excellent. Malaga itself is a great place to spend time!

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The location is unmatchable; the property is in close proximity to everything. The room is very clean, but the best part is the staff. Honestly, the best service in the whole of Europe. Thank you, Karla, Lili, and Erica, for making my experience a million times better. Your amazing customer service and beautiful mannerisms made Spain my favourite place in Europe.

I am not one to leave negative reviews but I feel I need to speak up because it can save someone an unpleasant experience. I have seen pictures of the rooms and the hotel and it looks nice but when we stayed it was in an apartment that I assume the hotel bought it is next door to the actual hotel. It is a dark old building with the smallest elevator I have seen. The front desk gave us 3 old fashioned keys to open several doors in order to get into the apt. Not great so far but I fine with me. What wasn’t fine was the very bad smell that permeated the whole apartment once we got in. We attributed it at first to it being closed but even after turning on AC it didn’t go away. My husband went to front desk after the first night to tell someone about it but they said nothing could be done at that time and offered a room spray. That was not going to cut it so he left. Luckily it was just two nights but I would not stay again. All I wanted was a place to do laundry and that is why I chose apt and not regular room but I was expecting the same level of quality. For the $$ we paid which didn’t even include breakfast it wasn’t worth it. On top of it, we had to rewash the clothes at the next stop bc everything smelled like sewage when we open the suitcases. Check in was quick and the woman who was there was nice but she didn’t show us how to get into the apt so it took us a min to figure out we had to open a second door that lead to hallway which was not clearly marked and it was immediately upon exiting elevator. It just looked like a regular front door.
