Hotel Palas

Great hotel to stay with the kids. Both indoor and outdoor pools are amazing. Helpfull staff and really relaxing mornings and evenings with sea view

We arrived on Sunday evening with our family and were told there was no room for us because it was given to another group, even though we paid extra for a sea view. They moved us to another hotel for the first night, which was further from the sea and without the view we paid for. Only after our travel agent intervened did we get our room the next day. The sea view was really beautiful and the best part of the hotel. However, the room itself was quite old, with stained towels and sheets, broken curtains, and dirt under the sofa. Every night there was loud music from the beach bar until 1 am, which made it hard to sleep, especially with small children. The food was tasty with a good selection, especially with delicious sea food and salads, but drinks were terrible, with watery powdered juice (only cold water flowed from the machine) and bad coffee. One morning, instead of coffee, there was just a sour liquid in the machine. Also, many utensils in the restaurant were dirty, which was unpleasant. Overall, while the view was amazing, the hotel needs improvement in cleanliness, noise control, and overall management.

Spent two weeks at this hotel with Saga not a please to experience. The hotel is there to make money in the two weeks I was there 3 weddings/receptions took place with loud music going into the early hours not what you expect. On one occasion an alternative dining room was used a lot smaller for the same number of guests. The restaurant requires updating resembled a works canteen, having said that the food was plentiful and good quality. Table clothes were just shaken and turned often stained. I experienced a towel that was supposedly laundered but had aver suspicious brown stain on it. It is rated as 4 star in England it would muster 2/3 star. The location of this hotel is first class adjacent to the beech.
