Great location, only a few minutes walk to all major attractions. Rooms are large but standard European city style, they are not resort style. The room was a little noise but that is what you get for being city centre.

Traditional hotel so don't expect any frills but you don't need them. Rooms were comfortable and kept really clean. Breakfast was good - decent enough selection and breakfast room was pleasant. Staff deserve a special mention as all were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Bathrooms were clean and fairly modern although had a fixed shower - I'd rather have a shower hose but that's a minor details. We had a balcony and was a pleasant place to spend time. Hotel is a few minutes from the railway station on foot so very convenient. If you're after a no frills but clean hotel with breakfast in a convenient location I'd be surprised if you can find a better one than this.

First trip to Florence, via package vacation plan. Four blocks from train station. Read reviews and requested an upgraded room other than the windowless room on the ground floor we were originally supposed to have, the hotel kindly accommodated us. This was an enormous improvement which made our stay tolerable. Not aware of any AC, we opened our window briefly but spent the next two days killing mosquitos from the otherwise lovely courtyard. Our room, and the hotel in general, was very clean. The lobby often had a foul smell. No water when we arrived (we were given 2 bottles upon request), no coffee or teapot. Towel warmer actually chilled our towels. Very thin walls, not soundproofed as described. One elevator was out of order. Staff were polite, ordered taxis for us and provided an additional blanket when requested. Our bed was comfortable. Inquired about laundry service but the turnaround was 24-hrs, then we realized there was a self-serve laundry across the street, which we used and were happy with. Breakfast was ok. Would not stay here again, heard from a guy at the laundry that the Grand Hotel Adriatico was excellent.
