Hotel Palazzo Papaleo

This hotel exceeded every expectation and made our stay in Otranto a 10/10. The rooftop terrace was simply wonderful - two levels of views of the ocean and town; the most beautiful place to sit at sunset. A hot tub to be enjoyed when it cools off in the evening. A delicious breakfast with healthy options. And truthfully the best cocktails we had while in Otranto ~ enjoyed on the terrace of course. The location is smack in the middle of everything and yet somehow it is still quiet inside the hotel at night, allowing a great night’s sleep. The staff is what shines even more - Mana and Francesco were there every night, greeting us with hugs and smiles, making the most delicious cocktails, and available for all of our questions and good conversation. They were so kind. And the lady at the front desk and the lady serving breakfast (I am sorry to have forgotten their names), but they were so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed ~ cleaned both during the day and in the evening for turn down service. The cost blows me away in comparison to what we paid at other similar hotels in Puglia - it was incredibly fair, especially given we went during high season. The best experience. Grazie Millie!

Excellent hotel, great place to stay. It is right next to the Cathedral, so the location is in the central old town, yet far enough off the main tourist streets that it is quiet. The room was very well furnished and supplied. We had a very private deck which was a welcome retreat for an afternoon break. Breakfast on a roof patio is beautiful, with a fine view across the harbor, plus great local food. Staff are excellent and helpful, from cleaning people through front desk people. This was one of the best lodging stops on our 1-month travel through S Italy. Highly recommended.

Well located just off the sea front in a quiet street close to all the vibrant old town this is an ideal hotel to stay in if you are visiting Otranto. The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to help you. For those like ourselves who are nit as fluent in Italian as we should be, then don’t worry all the team speak English. Our room was a good size and comfortable with all you need for you stay, including Sky TV and free WiFi. If the weather allows breakfast is on the roof overlooking the bay and is a very good continental buffet style breakfast. If you need help with booking a trip, restaurant recommendations or organising a transfer they the front of house team will help you. We love our time their and would definitely use it again.
