Hotel Palma

Small family run hotel in a great location in Pompei. Nice sized clean rooms and very helpful staff.Fantastic roof terrace, with jacuzzi, sun beds and tables and chairs, but no bar, which wasnt a problem, as cheap supermarket just over the road. Breakfast was good, but bacon could be a bit crispy. Short walk to Pompei ruins and railway station for Naples and Herculaneum. If I come back to Pompei, I will definately stay here.

Quite nice so far. Good checking with English reception. Upscale feel with nice renovation in rooms. The hot tub was not open in May. Nice rooftop views with seating and smoking area. Will update with breakfast notes tomorrow.

Room: The bed was okay. The shower drain was as clogged, severely clogged! The entire room smell like mildew. Service: They asked for our passports and requested to hold for a few minutes to take our information, a bit concerning but said okay and we were asked to come back to the front desk in 15 min. Came back down and they hadn’t taken our passport information yet, they wanted to hold for longer we refused and asked for our documents and they proceeded to scan them…took them 15 seconds! …the individual at front desk seemed upset at our request sort of threw the documents in the desk …the whole thing was a bit strange… Location: good - super close to the Ruins and restaurants The train station was 7 minutes walk from the Hotel. We paid for mounting view…we got a room with a train station view :(. We were exhausted so we didn’t bring that up, besides they seemed upset about the whole passport thing… Certainly we will not stay here again.
