I loved the coziness of the place. The room was comfortable for a family with a small child. The pool and the spa area at all is small for the hotel capacity. There is some confusion with the saunas as men entered the women' changing room in order to access the women' sauna?!?! Amazing view to Snejanka. The breakfast could be more generous on fruits.
Far from a five-star hotel I would not choose this hotel to stay in. It’s old and smells of cigarettes in the rooms as nearly everyone in Bulgaria smokes and believes you must put up with the smoke of THEIR addiction. The worst for us was coming down to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and meeting that old man playing host at the entrance. He’d always have something odd to say to spoil it for you, accusing you of trying to sneak in and get a free meal when you’ve paid for half board and he’s been greeting you for the past 3 days. It literally made us not look forward to having food, being chased around as if we’re criminals or being told off for coming 5 mins early to have a cup of tea. Besides, the crockery and cutlery was revoltingly dirty, food was the cheapest quality there is and tasteless, same things over and over for breakfast. No fried eggs or omelette. Another great disappointment was the spa area. It can hardly accommodate 10 guests at a time, usually full of poorly behaved children. Sauna is for 2-3 people at best and the swimming pool is rather cold, only 8 sunbeds, always packed. Some of the reception staff were nice and helpful but the level of service is far from courteous and professional; the young male receptionist was unfriendly and never smiled. We were given a small room in the extension to the building when we first got here and had to make multiple requests to be moved to a normal room which then turned out to be boiling hot as many other reviewers have complained. The only upside for me personally was the comfy beds and pillows but when you sleep in a boiling hot room with the windows wide open and which smells of cigarettes, how much rest can you get?!
Very bad service... Not all but still... , very cheap luxary interior made to look good on photos but look very bad on reality. All other issues as heating cannot been turned of in the room, no available bathrobes. Food is good for 3 stars Hotel. Transport to the ski park is available. Massages are OK but you have to pay it on place!!! Not credit card or on reception bill is accepted!
