Very good evendo the start was complicated. Google maps has trouble finding the hotel. Parking was not easy hôtel standard garage is not ideal for high end cars. On the positive side. Staff are super friendly. Hotel Beach is nice. Rocky Beach do. My room facing the sea was nice. Could do with an update but was nice Single room. View from the room is, fabulous. Breakfast is minimalist. Coffee ok. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you 😊
It’s a simple yet nice and clean hotel on the waterfront boardwalk. The views from the front or side rooms are amazing. Some of the rooms were redone and really nice. Others are simpler but clean. And the top floor rooms are “trendier” with stunning views. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. We’ve been going there for 3 years now a couple of tiens. Per year for a day or 2. Nothing fancy but excellent price, clean, and hard to beat location!
The very definition of the term tourist trap, possible the most cynically run hotel I’ve ever stayed at. First off, the good points. The location is excellent, right on the seafront with a private beach and lovely views from the front of the building. Now onto the bad points … We were paying in the region of €200 per night in May, the room we were initially given was not at all appropriate at this price point, tiny, very tired, and sold as a sea view which whilst technically true was not a fair description. Add to that the train running past the window hourly all night and you have a recipe for misery. We upgraded for an additional €50 a night to a room which was adequate. As other reviewers have said the rooms are outdated, badly cleaned, and with showers which seem to be possessed by malevolent spirits. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, not even a bottle of water offered, but instead €0.30 bottles in the minibar charged at €2.50. The food in the restaurant was okay, not fine or well presented, but edible. Certainly not a good reflection of the general standard of cuisine along the coast. The service though, wow, exceptionally bad, I have felt more welcome in a McDonalds. The staff rushed me through my meal and out to the point that my glass of water was cleared away whilst I was still drinking from it and my espresso was spilled as it was all but thrown at the table. Not even a wine list - just a glass of some random red. On the subject of food, the breakfast was adequate but by no means good and as others have noted, it goes quickly. On the whole I’d say a big disappointment, it’s such a shame, given the location this could be one of the great hotels of Europe, but instead the owners have settled for a cynical cash grab which leaves a sour taste.
