Hotel Park Ave Nyc

I didn't stay there, but spent a considerable amount of time at their property as a friend of mine was staying there, so I visited often. I have to say: posh, posh, and more posh. All without being tacky. Rooms are clean, super spacious, and they are well maintained. All three a rare occurrence in New York. The little radio speaker they had was fire, with this booming bass that wasn't obnoxious. And you couldn't hear a drop from other rooms, which is a definite PLUS. The views are great and you're in one of the safest areas of Manhattan, right on Park Ave /30th St. Everything is within walking distance there, including 2 subway stations, pharmacies, fast food, Delis, and Delivery, only 12 blocks to Grand Central terminal. From what my friend told me the cost was reasonable, but I can't speak to that since I don't know what the rates were. However, for my next staycation in the city, I will be looking closely at Hotel Park Ave for that stay. Really good hotel. And trust me, I KNOW hotels!

Room was perfect, clean and comfortable. However, the check in and out experience was gross which is why I would not rate this 5 stars. Front desk area felt very impersonal, and trying to check in was harder than it needed to be. Usually I feel relaxed when walking into a hotel, but instead I was anxious trying to find information while holding luggage and bags etc. Next time I will opt for a hotel not trying to cut out a very important element of customer service. It was clear this decision was made for no other reason other than optimizing the hotel's profit.

The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with tasteful interiors and very comfortable rooms. That said, there are still some important issues that need to be addressed. The air conditioning in my room was extremely noisy, and housekeeping hadn’t serviced the room even by 4pm. Upon arrival, I was informed that the room I had originally booked was overbooked and I was assigned a lower category room instead. Additionally, the room rate was unexpectedly modified—nearly $1,000 more—and it took the hotel five days after check-in to respond to my inquiry. I expected a higher standard of service given the category and price point of the hotel.
