Hotel Park Residency

The hotel is good and is located on the main road to kochi. The hygiene of the rooms is also good. Food in the breakfast is average. Although variety of restaurants are available in the hotel for dine in. It is around 40 mins drive from kochi airport.

Where do I start. 1 star is for the security who always had a smile and took an extra step to help us and the room cleaning staff. 1) Rooms are small, size is just ok. Tv is satellite that you have to pay for each channel. 2) The bathrooms smell bad due to mold covered grout between the tiles. The shower curtain had black spots of fungus. 3) The bath towels were light brown because of excessive usage, probably it's been used since the start of the hotel. 4) We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days ONLY because of accessibility. The only thing that we ordered was coffee. The 1st day they delivered it in 10 mins. 5) Saturday morning at around 8, we ordered coffee to the room and we were told it will be delivered. When we called to check after 10 minutes, the receptionist told us that because there was no staff, they cannot deliver coffee. We said we will come and collect the coffee , even that he didn't agree. 6) Our total bill amount was another shock. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE paying. They had changed our bill amount from 156 to 516. 7) At a time when hotels go over and above to take care of their guests, here was one hotel that was an absolute shocker. Our son become very ill and wanted porridge because we couldn't go out or order food and even that they couldn't offer. 8) To top it all, the nearby storybox plays loud music till 2am on Saturday. Over and above , the attitude of the reception guy was not at all pleasing.

Wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the shower curtain having no liner AND the shower floor wall is only 1 inch tall. The curtain is too short. The floor gets flooded. And the bathrooms are not made with proper bathroom tiles. Very dangerous. No balcony furniture. We were shown several rooms when we discovered ours was not clear of mildew. Our pillows were dirty with purple stains. Food crumbs in the bed. Mirrors dirty and covered in black debris. No hand and face towels in the bathrooms. I suppose the rooms are nice to take a prostitute. But not your lovely wife for a anniversary.
