We have spent here 3 nights in July. Overall a very positive experience. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The food at breakfast and diner is delicious, with a very good variety and suitable for the healthy vibe of the place. The only point for improvement - the coffee from the machine used for breakfast is awful, made from a powder with strong industrial taste. The hotel is a part of the Terme Dobrna site, therefore the pool, which is a good one, is located in the main hotel Vita, about 200 meters down the road. The downside is that you have to carry the towels with you and there is no really a place in the room to dry your swimsuit, as from the obvious reason the heating in the bathroom is turned off in the summer. The location is very beautiful, quite, with a nice park suitable for walking.
Setting is beautiful and safe, and the park grounds are flawless. The room was ok but needs to be cleaned better (also the dining room chairs) as well as additional comfortable amenities (comfy slippers to walk to the spa, adequate towels, body lotion). Meals could be more diversified (relevant especially for extended stays beyond 2 nights). I totally agree about the coffee machine; we skipped it altogether had to go elsewhere by car for a decent cup of coffee. Staff often times seemed very tired and annoyed despite efforts to be nice. Bicycle rentals don't offer rear kid seats. The pool isn't located on site, you need to walk to Hotel Vita every time but its not communicated well enough; on premises at this hotel is only a sauna and a tiny gym room. Drinks are extra at this hotel and portions are small with regards to the wine. We heard very loud voices from the room next to us (we think) at 5:30-6:00 am every single day so we cant say we enjoyed a good sleep unfortunately though the beds were comfortable. I think this place is better for couples or families with more grown-up kids (age 11 and up) who are more independent, and not younger.
Nice atmosphere, but beware of drink prices. The prices charged for drinks were higher than listed on both the printed menu at the table and their official website. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was met with a half-hearted excuse about "ongoing price updates." A professional venue should honor listed prices or, at the very least, inform guests clearly in advance. It left a bitter aftertaste in an otherwise pleasant setting.
